Pastor Caleb and Julia Kudlo have been part of CityView since its early days. Julia grew up in the city as the daughter of church-planting missionaries, Pastor Bill and Natalie Taylor; Caleb first came to Cleveland in 2010 as a student at Cleveland State University.  After studying in Minneapolis and abroad in Israel, he joined the CityView team as an intern in the fall of 2014. He later called as a pastor in the fall of 2015. His role includes preaching, worship leading, discipleship, and technology. Pastor Caleb also leads worship at Faith Baptist Community Center on East 55th and teaches at The Garden Christian Academy in Cleveland. Julia works for the Nueva Luz Urban Resource Center and also serves at CityView in several capacities, including as a discipler and food coordinator. She holds a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Carolina University and a Master of Nonprofit Administration and Leadership from the Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University. Pastor Caleb holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Cleveland State University, a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Carolina University, and a Doctor of Worship Studies in Ethnomusicology from Liberty University.

Pastor Jesse Pausch grew up in Cleveland, and returned after college to work with Youth for Christ. Since then, God has given him a burden for ministry within the local church. He earned his undergraduate degree in communications from Liberty University and continued on to earn a Masters of Art in Biblical Studies from Liberty University School of Divinity. Pastor Jesse also works full time as a graduation coach at Cleveland State University.

Jesse and his wife, McKenzie Pausch, serve on Sundays at CityView church downtown and host various bible studies and events throughout the week. McKenzie came to Cleveland to study music therapy at Cleveland State University, but quickly fell in love with serving and being a part of what God is doing here in the city. She now holds a B.A. in Music from Cleveland State, and runs her own piano studio at Skyline Music in Westlake. In their free time, they enjoy getting outside with their son, Jonah, traveling to see family, and cheering on Cleveland’s sports teams along with their growing family.

Pastor Bill Taylor, with Pastor Ken Dockery, planted CityView church in downtown Cleveland. Bill was a public school government teacher and coach in Pennsylvania and a former principal at Medina Christian Academy, OH. Currently, Bill teaches, preaches, mentors and trains those interested in becoming associate pastors, and handles almost all administrative tasks. He also serves part-time as a Field Supervisor for Cleveland State University student teachers. He holds an MDiv from Reformed Theological Seminary, a Master’s equivalency (education) from the state of PA, and an MA in Ministry from Bethany Divinity College and Seminary. His wife Natalie, a former microbiologist, recently received an MA in Social Justice and Community Organizing from Prescott College. She serves part-time as a Field Interviewer for NORC at the University of Chicago. Natalie enjoys teaching women’s Bible study, helping in the children’s room, and serving others in an advocacy capacity. Bill and Natalie live in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood. Four of their five children live and work in Cleveland. The fifth will be a professor in Michigan. Their youngest son attends Westside Christian Academy in Westlake where Natalie is the incoming Chair of the Board of Trustees. Both Bill and Natalie are cheering graduates and true blue fans of Penn State. Bill also enjoys playing team tennis and reading books to his new granddaughter. The Taylors’ mid-1980s launch into their urban ministry journey was influenced by Keith Phillips of World Impact and EAPE summer missions in Philadelphia, PA. Their marriage theme verse is Psalm 126:3, “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”

Pastor Ken Dockery, a Michigan native, came to Cleveland by way of Pennsylvania where he was a pastor for 6 years. After having heart surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in his 30’s, Ken was burdened to come and serve the people of Cleveland. Ken’s vision is to bring the hope of Christ to the many in Cleveland who have searched desperately for hope in all the wrong places. It is his desire to see a church planted in the downtown area that is committed to the careful teaching and preaching of God’s Word. To help him accomplish this goal, Ken is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry degree.

Since his initial heart surgery, Ken has enjoyed setting and meeting challenging physical goals. He has biked across America and completed the Cleveland Marathon as well as a triathlon on the UP of Michigan. He and his wife Renee, who holds a B.A. in Children’s Ministry with a Home Econ. minor, have four adult children.

Pastor Matt Horsfall became connected with CityView in 2015, when he began attending Campus Bible Fellowship at Cleveland State University, a ministry partner of CityView. It was there that he met Pastor Bill and Pastor Caleb, and after many invites to outreach opportunities downtown, he felt God was calling him into further ministry in the city. Matt completed his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Economics at Cleveland State University, and then went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Ministry from Carolina University.

Matt’s passion is for people to find the new and abundant life offered in Jesus, as John 10:10 reminds us: “A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.” Matt currently serves through leading worship, preaching, and teaching Bible studies and is excited to see how God leads as the newest member of the leadership team.

Outside of church ministry, Matt manages the marketplace sales for a local lawn and garden equipment dealer. In his spare time, he enjoys cheering on the Cleveland Guardians, playing pickup volleyball and pickleball, and baking.
